Profile
Dr. Sheri J. Mycue is proud to have been an elementary school teacher in both overseas and stateside public and private schools for over 20 years. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and a Cohort Coordinator for preservice teacher education for grades EC-6 with ESL certification. Currently, Dr. Mycue teaches undergraduate methods courses EDC 371G: Teaching Young Children and EDC 331C: School Organization & Classroom Management, coupled with coordinating the field placement experiences and preparation of UT elementary preservice teachers with an emphasis on preparing new teachers for engaging and motivating learners in classrooms of inclusive and diverse student populations.
Dr. Mycue received her Ed.D. from the University of New Orleans in Curriculum & Instruction with a minor in Counseling. While teaching American children overseas, Dr. Mycue received her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in a field-based program, from National-Louis University based in Heidelberg, Germany. Dr. Mycue's prior experience in higher education includes teaching undergraduate courses in early childhood education, curriculum, and multicultural studies, in addition to multiple experiences as a coordinator and supervisor of student teachers, K-12.
