Profile
Dolly Lambdin EdD is a clinical professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Education where she has taught since 1975. She has 16 years experience teaching grades K-8 in public and private schools in New York, Maryland and Texas. For many years she taught mornings in the elementary school and afternoons at the university. She has supervised over 100 student teachers and learned from scores of fabulous "cooperating teachers". She teaches teaching methods and curriculum methods at the undergraduate level and Analysis of Teaching at the graduate level. Dr. Lambdin is the recipient of the Texas Exes Elizabeth Shatto Massey Award for Excellence in Teacher Education and the NASPE Physical Education Teacher Education Honor Award. As president of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education Dr. Lambdin worked to put NASPE standards in the hands of teachers, administrators, and the general public so individuals would recognize quality physical education. She is a co-author of the award winning texbook series Fitness for Life published by Human Kinetics. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Active Life Movement and serves on advisory boards for Fitnessgram, PECentral, The University of Texas Elementary School, CASPER, HealthStart, and Trinity Child Development Center
