The Learning Technology Center’s IDEA Studio offers College of Education instructors a broad range of technology integration services to enhance teaching and research. The IDEA (Innovative Designs for Educational Applications) Studio helps faculty choose the best technology tools to achieve instructional or research objectives.

Coordinated by Karen French, Ph.D., and with staff members who are mostly doctoral students in Learning Technologies, the team works with faculty to find the technology solutions to achieve their goals in a “do with” rather than “do for” setting, an approach based on a distributed model of the TPACK framework for technology integration. Faculty bring their expertise in content knowledge and pedagogical knowledge, and studio staff bring expertise in technological knowledge and pedagogical knowledge.
