Checkout of laptops, projectors, and other digital media equipment is available to College of Education students, faculty, and staff or anyone currently enrolled in an Education course. The loan period varies with the type of equipment borrowed and current demand for it. There are no charges for this service, though fines are assessed for equipment turned in late.
Advance reservations of equipment are encouraged and can be made using the LTC’s online reservation system. Reservation requests should be submitted at least 48 hours before a resource is needed. Requesters receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of the request and then another e-mail confirming or declining the reservation
Patrons should come to the LTC Services Desk in SZB 536 and present a current UT ID to pick up equipment.

The MacBooks have wireless access through restricted.utexas.edu to the Internet.
Installed Software
The MacBooks can run either Mac OS X or Windows. A variety of popular applications are available for use with the MacBooks, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.
