TeachNet Installation Instructions Mac OS X

Download FirstClass Client 9.0 for Mac OSX Here,
Download the Spanish FirstClass Client 8.0 for Mac OSX Here -
Click the link above to download the FirstClass Client 8.3 (TeachNet) for Mac OSX. You will get a file called: FC8315US.dmg (or FC8047ES.dmg if you're using the Spanish version).

Double click that file and you will get a disk icon with the installer named Install FirstClass Client.

Double click the installer and follow the instructions.

Drag the FirstClass icon from your Applications folder to the dock if you want it added to the dock.

Initiate your Internet connection and then double click on the FirstClass application icon. The software might automatically launch after you complete the installation.

You should be prompted to complete the Service form. If you have the login window instead, click on the Setup button. If you have no login window, select Connect from the Collaborate window and it will come up.
IMPORTANT: On the form's Server blank type in: teachnet.edb.utexas.edu
Type in your User ID and password on this form only if you want to set up automatic login. This is not always a good idea as it makes your TeachNet account less secure. Do Not change anything else. Click the Save button and then you should have the login window and you will be ready to go.
When you log in you will not see all of the graphics and some features will be missing. To correct this, open the TeachNet System Info folder and then open UT TeachNet Settings File. They might auto open for you. Double click on the attachment called TN56.fc. After it has downloaded, click the Update button. Your setup will then conform to the most current TeachNet setup.
