TeachNet Info

TeachNet is a full-featured Group Ware system run by the College of Education utilizing Open Text's FirstClass client and server software package. Accounts are available for all College of Education faculty, staff and students through the Computer Help Desk.

• Local and Web Access: TeachNet is accessible through the local area network in the College of Education and through the Internet.
• Class Folders: The TeachNet administrator can set up a class folder for faculty wishing to distribute information and files to their students. This also provides a forum for students within the class to communicate.
• E-Mail: TeachNet provides e-mail services including internet e-mail.
• Collaboration: A chat feature, conferencing and shared folders are available for collaborative work.
• Calendar: Both public and private calendars are provided through TeachNet
• Web Delivery: Each TeachNet account offers very easy (though limited) web hosting.
• Security: No one has access to your email except the administrator. Folders, calendars and other features can be restricted to a custom list of users.
