TeachNet is a full-featured Group Ware system run by the College of Education utilizing Open Text's FirstClass client and server software package. Accounts are available for all College of Education faculty, staff and students through the Web Help Desk

Bevoware:

What is Bevoware?

Bevoware provides anti-virus protection and improves system security connections. It is available to all UT Austin students, faculty, and staff at no cost. A variety of Web browsers, e-mail programs, and other useful tools for both Macintosh and Windows computers are also available, all in one convenient online location.

Downloading Bevoware's Symantec AntiVirus:

Note: Symantec and Notron are the same program under two different names.

Steps for download Symantec Notron:

1) Log in with you EID

2) Agree to the Usage Statement

3) Scroll down till you see "Symantec AntiVirus 10.2 for Mac OS X 10.4+" and click the "Download" button

 

Microsoft Office:

What is Microsoft Office?

Microsoft Office is a set of interrelated desktop applications, servers and services, collectively referred to as an office suite, for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. The Mac version of Office 2008 includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Entourage.

Microsfot Office CANNOT be downloaded, but it does come in the LIFE Laptop Bundles or can be purchased from the Campus Computer Store.
