Fourth Floor Technology Classroom Features and Equipment

Student Laptops

A fleet of laptops can be reserved for delivery and set up for class participants. A wireless network is provided and power connections are also available on the floor throughout the room.

Promethean ActivBoard Interactive White Board

The room is equipped with a Promethean ActivBoard Interactive white board. Student response devices for using the ActivBoard can also be checked out.

Widescreen Projection System

The room has a large projection screen that presents the instructor computer image. A document camera can also be requested. Wall-mounted speakers present program audio.

Instructor Console

The streamlined console features a built-in touchscreen control panel and connections for a laptop computer and document camera.

Flexible Room Arrangement

The 25 student desks can be arranged in several different configurations, including rows, clusters of four and U-shape

LCD Screens

Two LCD screens on each side of the room are mounted on pull-out tilting arms, facilitating breakout into small groups.

Back Counter Area

This area provides counter workspace and storage cabinets. A sink, microwave and refrigorator are available for “kitchen” (non-hazardous) science experiments.
