Easy-to-Use Portable Projection Screen Available for Checkout October 2, 2012

Ken Waters, LTC Services Coordinator, demonstrates the easy set up of the Da-Lite screen. A scissor-like support system on the back of the screen allows the screen to be set at any height.
When was the last time you thought the design of a portable projection screen was cool? Probably never. It’s probably been a very long time since you’ve even seen a portable projection screen because they have always been notoriously heavy, difficult to set up, even harder to take down, and thus, loathed by everyone.
That’s why the new portable screen recently acquired by LTC Services Equipment Checkout is very cool indeed. Da-Lite has gone back to the drawing board to completely redesign the portable screen. The Insta-Theater is light, easy to carry, and has no spindly metal tripod. Instead, the screen lifts effortlessly out of the case itself in seconds, placed either on the floor or tabletop, and two pull-out feet provide stability. The pneumatic support system on the back of the screen allows you to lift it to any height, and a tool stored in the case helps lift the screen overhead. The screen pulls down and back into the case just as quickly and effortlessly.
Equipment Checkout plans to purchase another screen to handle anticipated demand. The screen, like all the service’s equipment, is reservable and may be checked out at no charge. Contact LTC Services at 471-3234 for more information.
