Laptop Help Team Leader Finalist for Student Employee of the Year Award - March 3, 2011
Julian Joseph, the Laptop Help Desk Team Leader in the College of Education’s Learning Technology Center, was named a top 10 finalist of UT’s first annual Student Employee of the Year Award.
The award, sponsored by Human Resources Services and the Texas Exes, recognizes student employees who exhibit outstanding reliability, initiative, attitude, and professionalism in their work. Julian’s supervisor, Chad Fulton, nominated him because, “Julian’s work is of the highest quality. Supporting technology can be a very sensitive operation. He is caring and cautious in his approach yet unafraid to take the necessary steps to resolve an issue. His ideas have addressed challenges and improved our customer service practices and technical troubleshooting procedures. Julian’s professionalism has helped build the Laptop Help team into a cohesive unit that enjoys the work.”
Brandon Okafor, a student associate in the Jackson School of Geosciences, won the award. He and all nominees will be honored during National Employee Week, April 10-16.
