Instructor Consoles Updated in LTC Computer Labs - August 31st, 2010
The new consoles are smaller and more maneuverable.
Control of the projection system is easy with the Crestron panel.
In just one of the ways we’re getting the Fall 2010 semester off to a great start, the LTC has replaced the instructor consoles in the SZB 439 computer labs A, B, and C.
The new consoles are smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable that the previous wooden ones. The height can also be adjusted, making them more ADA compliant.
The consoles feature a built-in Crestron control panel with push buttons and a small screen. With this panel, instructors can turn on the projector, choose which source to project, and adjust presentation volume. As before, the console is equipped with a desktop computer; laptops may be plugged into the system and chosen for projection.
So drop by and take a look at the new equipment, and remember, these computer labs can be reserved for classes and other instructional purposes. Just go to reservations.edb.utexas.edu or use the link on the LTC home page.
