TLTC Distinguished Lecture Series Welcomes Claire Kramsch Feb. 20, 4pm, MEZ 0.306
Dr. Claire Kramsch, of the University of California, Berkeley, will speak on “Authorial Intent and Cultural Authenticity in L2 Computer Mediated Communication” on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Mezes 0.306.
Professor Kramsch is the director of the Berkeley Language Center. She researches applied linguistics and second language acquisition. Her work has reconceptualized the teaching of foreign languages as the crossing of cultural boundaries.
This free lecture should appeal to many in the College of Education. The Texas Language Technology Center’s Distinguished Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the Learning Technology Center and the Foreign Language Education Program.
