Paul Resta Receives Technology Leadership Award - March 27th, 2006

Learning Technology Center Director Dr. Paul E. Resta
has received the President’s Service Award from the Association of
Teacher Educators (ATE). The award was presented to Dr. Resta at the
association’s annual conference in recognition and appreciation of his
leadership and advocacy of the use of technology in teacher education.
Dr. Resta’s leadership has been instrumental in recent years in
transforming the role and presence of technology in ATE. He serves as
chair of the National Commission on Technology and Teacher Education,
and as editor of Technology and the Future of Teacher Education,
which ATE will publish in 2007. The book, which boasts a distinguished
group of chapter authors, will examine the major issues, challenges,
and opportunities confronting teacher education in today’s rapidly
changing technology and knowledged-based global society.
