LTC Hires Application Development Specialist - June 12th., 2006

The Learning Technology Center has hired Shaun McCormick to serve as the Application Development Specialist for its Technical and Network Services team. In this new Computer Programmer position, Shaun will be responsible for developing or updating Web-based applications for the LTC.

Previously, Shaun was an LTC student employee who served as leader of the student Applications Development team. In fact, his first project as Application Development Specialist is to convert to PHP the suite of Web-based LTC administrative applications he was instrumental in creating, including the LTC reservation and inventory systems and the employee scheduler and timeclock. PHP will provide a more up-to-date, flexible, and easier to use programming framework for these applications.

Shaun earned a degree in Religious Studies here at UT, with a minor in creative writing. Beyond work, Shaun is very involved in church activities and enjoys playing a wide variety of stringed instruments.
