Mission Statement

The mission of the IDEA Studio is to support the faculty of the College of Education as they incorporate technology into their instruction, the activities of their students and their research.

1. Remain abreast of established and emerging techniques and tools that enable the effective incorporation of technology into teaching and learning.

2. Maintain a formal process for keeping faculty informed regarding the effective incorporation of technology into teaching and learning.

3. Maintain a ready supply of resources, including skilled staff and the hardware and software necessary to support state-of-the-art applications of technology in teaching, learning and research.

4. Support faculty members as they endeavor to increase their own knowledge and skills relating to (a) the use of technology and (b) the effective incorporation of technology into teaching and learning.

5. Support faculty members as they endeavor to (a) effectively incorporate technology into their teaching assignments and (b) guide their students to become effective users of technology in the classroom.

6. Support faculty members in efforts that leverage technology in support of research as well as in efforts that focus on educational applications of technology as a subject of research.

7. Develop and disseminate resources that support faculty as they seek to increase their own understanding of technology and as they incorporate technology into teaching and learning.
