UT TeleCampus Course Development

LTC Director Dr. Paul E. Resta received a grant of $8969 from the University of Texas System UT TeleCampus in 2008 for the development of an online course. The course, Advanced Instructional Systems Design, will provide students a thorough understanding of the theoretical frameworks, current trends, proven strategies, and common concerns associated with the design and development of instructional systems. Students will explore behavioral, cognitive, and constructivist strategies for instructional design and apply them in the design, development, and evaluation of an instructional system. The course will employ a variety of Web-based tools, including Blackboard, blogs, chat, and Web conferencing. The course was developed in fall 2008, and will be offered beginning in spring 2010.
