Schools as Knowledge-Building Communities

This report describes the Knowledge-Building Communities project of 1993 and the follow-up research of its impact on participating teachers, funded by the Texas Center for Educational Technology (TCET) and supported by Apple Computer, Inc. Partners in the project included the Learning Technology Center, two Central Texas school districts and Region XIII Service Center. The project explored a constructionist approach to learning using computer-supported collaborative learning environments.
