ITESM Project Systemic Change of the Teaching-Learning Process in Higher Education

The University of Texas at Austin has partnered with the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) to conduct research on a unique large-scale, system-wide change effort by ITESM, a multi-campus higher education institution in Mexico, to transform the teaching-learning process. Incorporating the use of technology into instruction has been a major focus of this process.

Dr. Paul Resta serves as director of the project, along with Carlos E. Gonzales Negrete as co-director. Maria Lourdes del Consuelo De Hoyos Guevara is project coordinator. The year-long project, begun in late 2004, received $40,000 in funding from the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost of the University of Texas at Austin and $40,000 from ITESM.
