Supporting Education

The University of Texas at Austin is directly linked to the economy, culture and quality of life of the State of Texas.  

Through no part of The University is this link more direct than through the College of Education. It is here that those who will impart knowledge to Texas' children and young people for generations to come, and those who will lead them, are themselves given the skills and training to teach and inspire.

Education is the great equalizer in our state's society, the portal through which each and every citizen can pass to a life of happiness and prosperity. Texas' founding fathers realized this when they established a solid foundation for our public schools, and "a university of the first class". They were people with the vision to care about a quality education for all, and the will to assure that the resources were there for their vision to become reality.

The College of Education is now the 8th ranked public school of education in the nation, and is recreating the way students learn through innovation, research and practical instruction.
