Alice Toungate

Assistant Dean for Financial Affairs

As Assistant Dean for Financial Affairs, Alice Toungate oversees the daily financial operations of the College of Education. This includes the budgets for the College and the development and implementation of financial/budgetary policies and procedures. Ms. Toungate was with the U. T. System from 1986 until coming to the College of Education in May, 2003. She previously worked at the Erwin Special Events Center as Box Office Manager and Computer Ticket Manager from 1977 through 1985. She started her career at The University as an Auditor in the Office of the Business Manager from 1974 to 1977.

Ms. Toungate received The University of Texas Excellence Award while working at the Erwin Center and The University of Texas System Excellence Award while working at the U. T. System Budget Office.

She received her B.B.A. in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin in 1975.
