Spring 2011: Future Remnants
A New play on the grounds of The Elisabet Ney Museum
Austin, TX

The Exchange Artists are creating a site specific performance on the grounds of the Elisabet Ney Museum in Austin, TX this spring. This original, theatrical event will transform the grounds of Hyde Park's landmark castle into the setting of a fantastical drama influenced by Elisabet Ney's cultural heritage and Hyde Park's history. The performance will be participatory in nature with actors leading the audience throughout the grounds as the story and the mysteries of the space unfold. By incorporating oral history, legend and lore we will pay special homage to Austin's multicultural community by creating a contemporary work of art grounded in Texas' rich cultural heritage. As a conscientious community engagement project all performances will be free to the public.
