Welcome to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The University of Texas

The work of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction includes core contributions to teacher preparation, educational research and service. Faculty members teach courses, provide professional and public service, and conduct research in the areas of early childhood education, language and literacy, math and science education, social studies education, multilingual/multicultural education, instructional technology, and curriculum studies. These activities involve active collaborations with colleagues in other departments, other colleges, and area PK-12 schools. Graduate students play an important role in the teaching, research, and service activities of the department.
