The Mayer-Johnson Co. is the originator of the Picture Communication Symbols. Their symbols are used in augmentative communication. Their products include educational materials and software. The software is used to make communication boards, educational materials, and overlays for different computer access devices and for speech output. It also supports the development of a rich variety of third-party accessibility aids.
