Echo Communication, Inc. 

Echo Technology Corporation (formerly Street Electronics) has sold the Echo speech products to the schools and special needs market since 1980. There are hundreds of Echo-compatible programs available from over 100 software manufacturers. The goal of the company is to produce high quality, state-of-the-art speech output products at reasonable prices that can be used by a variety of users. The special needs community has always been a primary focus in both design and marketing of the Echo product line.

Edmark Corporation

Edmark is a leading developer and publisher of high-quality , award winning educational software. Serving both the home and education markets, Edmark combines rich multimedia technology with solid educational methodology to create products that inspire creativity, develop thinking skills an engage children in the learning process. In its early years, the company focused on the special education market, publishing both print materials and software for the Apple, and manufacturing the TouchWindow, a touch sensitive input device for the computer. These products are available for the education market.

Educational Press is a publishing company that develops material exclusively for the special education market and older learners with very low reading abilities. The target audience is special education students in middle school and high school who are reading at a third-grade level. Materials are either in workbook format or computer format. Computer software is accompanied by workbook material to help in the transition from the computer to printed materials. Most materials focus on the transitional student and teach employability skills, including social skills necessary for success on the job.

Exceller Software publishes linguistic and reference software for education, home, and business markets. Software products include a)multimedia English grammar learning for ESL students, b)bilingual dictionaries in Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese, c)Webster's Spanish/English Dictionary for Macintosh and Windows. Software is enabled for people with disabilities. Most titles have text-to-speech pronunciation for both source words and the respective definitions including example sentences.
