UT Athletic Training Educational Program

Dawn Allen, MS, ATC, LAT	Dawn Allen is one of the two athletic trainers at Leander H.S., arriving in 2000. Prior to arriving at Leander, Dawn spent seven years at Odessa High School and two years at Porter High School in Brownsville. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and Masters of Science Degree from Ohio University. Dawn is married to James Allen and has two daughters named Hailey and Amanda.

Wayne Lauritzen, MS, ATC, LAT	Wayne Lauritzen is one of the two athletic trainers at Leander H.S. Prior to arriving on campus in 2003 he was the athletic trainer at Lake Travis Independent School District for two years. Before Lake Travis he spent seven years at the University of North Texas as an assistant athletic trainer. He received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Southwest Texas State University in 1994. He finished his master’s in exercise physiology at The University of North Texas in 1997. Wayne is married to Erin Lauritzen and they have two daughters - Hannah and Kendall.
