The goal of the Higher Education Cadres
and the Technology Leadership Academy is to create a network of
stakeholders concerned with technology and educator preparation
for ongoing collaboration and sharing of resources across a five-state
region. Your participation is crucial to this effort. To learn
more about the Cadres, please visit www.tcet.unt.edu/symposium/scrtec.htm.
This year the SCR*TEC and the Academy are working
together to make these two regional conferences possible. The
first, on August 10, 2003, in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the second,
on August 24-25, 2003, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Administrators,
faculty, and state leaders in education from New Mexico, Oklahoma,
Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana are invited to attend either --
or both -- of these meetings. Registration is limited to no more
than 75 committed attendees, so we encourage you to register early.
Although both meetings are open to everyone, it may be important
to note that state-level meetings are planned for New Mexico,
Oklahoma, and Arkansas at the Santa
Fe Event and activities in Texas and Louisiana will be spotlighted
at the Corpus Christi Event.
Activities will include collaborative
work sessions with institutions that share similar experiences,
facilitated team-specific work sessions, and keynote speakers.
Sessions are designed to be interactive.
